Who We Are
Introducing Roman Ivantysyn, a hydraulic specialist with over 15 years dedicated to hydraulic research. His passion for the industry is rooted in his upbringing—inspired by his parents, Monika and Jaro Ivantysyn, both known for their valuable contributions to the hydraulic community.
Roman's academic journey includes earning a master's degree at Purdue University, where he shaped his expertise at the prestigious Maha Fluid Power Research Center, with a specialized focus on Axial Piston Pump design. His thirst for knowledge led him to the Technical University Dresden where he explored the intricacies of displacement controlled system optimization for large hydraulic systems and conducted pioneering research on piston pumps. His groundbreaking work measured gap height and temperature in all three gaps of an axial piston pump, providing new insights to the industry.
Throughout his career, Roman has sought collaborative ventures, working alongside various organizations to enhance and validate their piston pumps and motors. His work has yielded innovations like the stepped surface structure for slippers, an advancement with promising potential for surface design optimization.
At SHS, we pride ourselves on combining both system and component expertise. This unique fusion empowers our customers to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape, preparing for challenges like electrification, material changes (lead-free), and environmental constraints.
Together with Roman Ivantysyn and the SHS team, we're designing the future of hydraulics, ready to tackle the most pressing industry challenges and pioneer innovative solutions for a sustainable tomorrow.
